I receive some helpful replys recently to my question about garbled Informix screens when dailing out using my communications program. Since I'm not very familiar with Usenet or how to use it, I didn't post any of the responses - I wasn't sure if I should or not. I fixed the problem by disabling ISIG on the port. It seemed as though Informix was sending Del's along with the other escape sequences to clear screen, reverse video, etc. My second question was: when listing a directory that has a page or more of files, some of the output is lost. I went back to the code and made sure IXON and IXOFF were ON for the port and stdin. That seems to have fixed the problem. Also, could someone mail me some advice about when and what to post and when I should email instead of posting? Thanks. Laura Chadha
