There are two flavors of software involved here. The first is a device-independent troff (a.k.a. ditroff) and the second is a postprocessor for the HP Laserjet printer. Commercial vendors bundle all the needed software into one package, while the most popular shareware product, JetRoff, supplies only the postprocessor (they cater to people who have ditroff as part of the Documentor's Workbench (DWB)). A number of products were mentioned several times and with great enthusiasm; nice to see technical users so enthusiastic about their software tools. The products and vendors mentioned were: Eroff from Elan Computer Group (415) 964-2200 TPLUS from Textware (Brent Byer @ (617) 864-8398) JetRoff from PC Reasearch uunet!pcrat!jetroff troff from SoftQuad (416) 963-8337 With the exception of the JetRoff product, I believe that the offerings include both a ditroff (or equivalent) and a postprocessor for the HP Laserjet.
