[comp.unix.questions] nroff literal mode

Well, if anyone posted an answer about literal text processing in nroff
on the list, I did not see it since I do not read this group (sorry).
Anyway, here is one of the many friendly replies that I received by
mail.

:I guess I would enter a .nf at the beginning of my document and a .fi
:at  the end (although I'm not sure that you would have to turn fill
:back on before you're done.  Then just print it regularly, viz. nroff
:-T## <file> | lp -Dprinter_R.  That should do it.
:By the way, the .nf is for no fill.
