I got a Donvier ice cream maker for Christmas and I'm interested in good recipes for ice cream mix, especially how to make a good sorbet (my one attempt was just slush). Please mail me or post any of your favorite recipes that you have used with a Donvier as well as any general advice on using it. I will post a summary. I'll get the ball rolling with the one recipe that I have had the best success with. It makes a wonderfully creamy ice cream. Ingredients: 1 cup whole strawberries 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 pint cream 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract 1 tsp. lemon juice Mash the strawberries and mix with the sugar. Let sit for five minutes. Mix in the other ingredients and freeze in the Donvier as directed. After twenty minutes or so, store the ice cream in the freezer for two hours before eating, though I'm sure you won't be able to resist a few spoonfuls. -- Chan Benson {ihnp4 | hplabs}!hpfcla!chan Hewlett-Packard Company Fort Collins, CO (303) 226-3800 x3892 As usual, HP has nothing to do with what I say here.
