I have a cooking related problem I would like to pose to the collective brains of net.cooks: Our gas range has the usual (cheap) plastic knobs with little chrome rings. Since cooking is often messy, these get dirty. When grease gets on them, it often sticks and is difficult to get off. Steel wool is unacceptable since it will scratch and maim the knobs. Any suggestions for removing grease? E-mail you answers to me and, if there is enough interest, I will summarize to the net. -- Anita Cochran uucp: {noao, ut-sally, ut-ngp}!utastro!anita arpa: anita@astro.UTEXAS.EDU snail: Astronomy Dept., The Univ. of Texas, Austin, TX, 78712 at&t: (512) 471-1471
