I hope that this is the proper group: Some time ago, I requested the name of a supplier of a UNIX for the PDP11 in binary form. I am asking on behalf of a friend who has an 11 and cannot afford a source license ($53K) in order to be able to get 2.10bsd. It seems that the main binary supplier, DEC, in the form of ULTRIX11 does not offer that product any more. DEC referred me to USENIX, but they offer only the source 2.10bsd. Now my question: Any of you former licensees of ULTRIX10 who are no longer using it: would you be willing to transfer your license and binary code to my friend for a reasonable fee? This would have to be done under the terms of your original license. Any of you source licensees of at least UNIXv7 that also have a license to sublicense binary copies: would you be willing to obtain a binary copy of 2.10 bsd for my friend and sublicense it to him for a reasonable fee?
