Using cursor keys in vi gives sporadically insert mode if you are using a vt100 terminal. Using a vt220 cursor keys gives sporadically another code that vi doesn't understand. It seems that it happens more often if you are conected to a modem. This, we believe, is a worldwide known problem. To overcome this problem you can give the vi comand: set notimeout. My question is, if you have a similar problem in a customer application (order entry) what is the solution. I have this problem on a Datamedia 68020 or 68030 running AT&T Unix V.2 or V.3.2. -- // ///// /// | Christer Nordin Distributed Resource Systems support. // /// /// | UUCP: {uunet,mcvax,munnari,cernvax,diku,inria,prlb2,tut /// /// /// | ,ukc, unido} !sunic!iclswe!chn Phone +46 (0)76096387 /// ///// /////// | ( Standard Disclaimer )
