According to DMF(4), the first two ports of a dmf device have "full modem control". On our 11/750, which has a DMF32 sitting on uba1, I find that all ports on this device correctly recognize a dropped carrier (loss of DCD), but NONE of them respond to EIA flow control, i.e., the modem asserts zero on its CTS line (pin 4), but the Vax takes no notice and keeps transmitting without interruption. Toggling pin 6 (DSR) doesn't seem to have any effect either. I'd like to be able to enable EIA flow control on at least a couple of these ports (the Sperry 7000 "Tahoe" here (for instance), running 4.3, understands EIA flow control on all tty ports.) The manual entries for tty(4), gettyab(5), and printcap(5) don't seem to mention any parameters that would govern EIA flow control. Anyone know whether it's possible to get EIA flow control working on this machine, and if so, how it might be accomplished? Thanks in advance, Malcolm L.
