s in center If frozen, bake in preheated 360 degree oven for about 1.5 hours from frozen state. This can be frozen with or without the topping; if you don't freeze it with the topping, remember to put it on before baking. Margaret Reek seismo!rochester!ritcv!mmr

Apple Crumb Pie (one crust) 1 qt tart apples 2 Tbs butter 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cinnamon core, peel and slice the apples. Melt the butter, and mix the rest in with it. Pour over apples and mix around so the apples are coated. put in an unbaked pie shell combine: 1/2 c brown cugar 1/4 c. flour 1/4 c. butter (melted) 1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, etc) spread over top of the filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes, or until it is bubbling. The pie can also be frozen and then baked, right from the freezer, at 360 degrees for 1.5 hours. The pies will keep a very long time in the freezer, and not be worse for wear. PS. For those who like the quality of home made pie crusts but the convenience of ready-made, make a bunch of crusts someday when the mood grabs you, and toss them in the freezer in a big plastic bag.
