[comp.unix.questions] What is a Unisys 1100 & 2200?

isolated@alix.UUCP (20 James D. Corder) (02/05/90)

What operating system does the Unisys 1100 & 2200 use?

What type of machine are they?

What size are they? Micro, Mini, Big Bugger:-?

The company that I work for has asked me to relocate. I know
of each of their systems there but two: the Unisys 1100 and 2200.

Please mail to:

Thanks in advance,

  Exec 8, CSCX or CSTS
Exec 2 if you are into really old stuff

Univac mainframe - 36 bit words, about 500 instructions

  Big Bugger

The 2200 is just a new name for the 1100 series that started with, I
think, the 1103. The 1108/1110 series is really based on the 490 and 494
