[comp.unix.questions] What does "USG" mean?: SUMMARY

pim@cti-software.nl (Pim Zandbergen) (02/05/90)

I asked the net:

>What does USG mean?

I have had a lot of replies by mail and a few followups:

2 netreaders said it means Unix Systems Group,
1 netreader thinks it is Unix Standards Group,
1 believes it it Unix Software Group,
1 netreader was told it is Unified or United Systems Group,
and the other nine ones told me it is an acronym for Unix Support Group.

I guess I'll have to believe the majority.

Thanks to all who replied!
