[comp.unix.questions] Latest C-Kermit

brian@radio.astro.utoronto.ca (Brian Glendenning) (02/10/90)

Does C-kermit supposrt sliding windows yet? Any nice new features?
(Ours is about a year old, I'd guess).

That version is available via anon ftp from radio.astro.utoronto.ca
under ~ftp/utils with all the required unix files already combined
incidentally. (I find getting distributions from columbia is kind of
painful because of the naming scheme).

Does anyone know where I can get the latest version of C-Kermit?
I was told that C-Kermit 4e(067) supports 2K packets. Is that the
latest version? Thank you in advance.

(This is a repost -- I misspelled the hostname in my last post. I tried
o cancel it, but I don't know if the cancel went through.)

The host "watsun.cc.columbia.edu" archives the ftp sources. You can
et them from there via anonymous ftp.

I'm told not, although several people have done the job. I am using a
version older than dirt just because it's a pain to add the windows.

I am running 4F(095) 31 Aug 89. I believe I got it ftp from
cis.ohio-state.edu or someplace like that ... columbia.edu
is a very likely candidate as well.
