Does anyone have any recommendations for good books to help one learn Unix? Preferably one(s) written for experienced computer users rather than novices? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Please reply directly to me and I'll summarize to the list. Greg Orman Systems Manager greg@pomona.claremont.edu Seaver Academic Computing Services greg@pomona.bitnet Pomona College

I would like to thank those who responded to my recent query regarding 'Intro to Unix' books not meant for computing novices. I discovered that there is a list of books which is posted to this group on a semi-regular basis. I guess that's what I get for not watching the list for a while before posting... Several people did make specific suggestions, all of which were on the list except for one person who suggested any of the books by the Waite Group published by the Howard Sams Company. Again, thanks for everyone's help. TTFN. Greg Orman greg@pomona.claremont.edu Systems Manager greg@pomona.bitnet Seaver Academic Computing Services Pomona College Standard disclaimer-type stuff.
