I'd like feedback from any of you who have used the shl command (shell layers) on your systems. For what purposes are you currently employing it? Does it require a lot of system overhead? I realize you have to re-link the kernel to turn on the layers. Is it worth investigating? We have users who would benefit from having multiple sessions into our network (3270 bi-sync) and I thought that the shl command with virtual terminals might provide an efficient means for the users to "window" between their respective network sessions. Also, have any of you used multi-view? Or facetterm? Any comments on these packages would be helpful also. Please respond to me via e-mail. Thanks. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | Mark D.
