[net.cooks] Exploding noodles

   Hmm, can you do that with bean threads, too?  We do it with white rice
sticks which are made of rice and water.  The noodles are compressed
together somewhat for convenience;  within 3 seconds of hitting the oil
they expand enormously.  you remove them immediately, drain on a towel and
munch away.  Marvelous treat.
