Because of security reasons, I cannot dial into the computer system (BSD 4.3) I use at work. However, I am allowed to dial out. Does anyone in this group know of a way to write a shell script or a program that would allow me to set a specific time (say, 8PM, or perhaps 1 hour from now) at which tip or some other program would wake up after I've logged out, calling my modem at home and connecting me to a login process? I know about the ``at'' and ``sleep'' commands, but I don't know how to make them execute an interactive command such as tip and get them to connect standard input and output to a shell, login, or getty program. If anybody has ideas or suggestions or needs more information, please let me know. Thanks a lot! -- Mark mjh@zurich.ai.mit.edu (a guest at this account)
