I am asking these questions for a friend. Hopefully, I am writing to the write place. All questions are in regards to AT&T 386 UNIX System V, Release 3.2. Here goes: 1. Does anyone have or know of a utility that is capable of capturing an application's video display to an ASCII file? Such a utility would probably operate on a "hot key" and preferably append multiple screen captures to a given file. 2. Does anyone have a utility for booting from a DOS partition at the UNIX boot prompt. The functionality desired is identical to that available in SCO Xenix System V. Specifically /etc/default/boot UNIX boot prompt. The functionality desired is identical to that available in SCO Xenix System V. Specifically /etc/default/boot defines AUTOBOOT=NO if "DOS" is entered at the prompt, a "DOS" stand alone boot defines program is executed which reads the partition table, finds the DOS area, and initiates a DOS boot sequence. =============================================================================== ARPA Internet: dennis@longs.lance.colostate.edu UUCP : ...ncar!boulder!ccncsu!longs.lance.colostate.edu!dennis ===============================================================================
