I have a troff formatted file which I would like to print to a laser printer. The file obviously has some graphics in it but I don't have the pic formatter to translate these graphics. Is there another way to print these graphics without pic? Is pic generally available from a mail archive server? If you would reply via email, I will most certainly post a summary of responces. If you really have a troff formatted file, you don't need pic. pic is a pre-processor for documents that are subsequently feed into troff for final formatting. If your file is ditroff (the output of most recent troff implementations) you need a ditroff->device driver. I don't know of any public domain version, but Jetroff is a $119 product which formats ditroff output for printing on hp-laserjet printers. It is available from PC Research at the following address/phone: PC Research, Inc. 94 Apple Orchard Drive Tinton Falls, NJ 07724 uunet!pcrat!jetroff (201) 389-8963 Disclaimer: I have no connections with PC research, nor have I even bought the software.
