[comp.unix.questions] wanted - pgm called "year"

renkel@motcid.UUCP (Willis H. Renkel) (07/08/90)

While working at ATT-Bell Labs they had a local program
called "year" that formatted a calendar with all kinds
of neat options. I left ATT before I could find the source.
If it is available (free of course) could someone advise
where and how I can get it? I would like it for my UNIX-pc at home!

I can be reached via email at motcid!renkel
or 708-632-4416 (work) or home 708-653-1190.

Thanks in advance -- Will Renkel

The "year" calendar program's author is Randy Herber. The last e-mail
address I had for him was ihlpa!rjh@research.att.com. (I'm unable to
verify this at the moment because of local mail problems.) Randy told
me at the time that he had not released the source code for year to
anyone, not even the Bell Labs Exptools library. I have executables
for Sun (3?) and AT&T 3B2 machines running UNIX. I am also sending the
manual page for year to Willis Renkel by e-mail.
