Does anyone know of a unix utility/utilities or PD program that will allow for the recovery of a tarfile that has been partially overwritten by another tarfile. This has occurred at the beginning of a 9-track tape. The data is very important and any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. David. anthony@nereid.sal.ists.ca
