A friend of mine has typed in and editted the words to 138 Grateful Dead songs from "Alabama Getaway" to "You win again" (Aiko Aiko is intentionally not included, you are supposed to learn that one by word of mouth). Some of the lyrics were transferred from record jackets, sheet music and other "reliable" sources. Others were listened to many times, and are known to be less than correct. I am happy to share what I have with anyone that is interested. If you could proof the work and send back comments that would be appreciated. If you know lyrics to songs that have been played by the Grateful Dead, Jerry Band, Bobby and the Midnights, Kingfish, Old and in the Way, etc. I would love to include them (especially "Throwing Stones"). I do not want to post these to the net. I am sure that most people are not interested and do not want to pay for the transmission of "Hippy Music." I guess magtape is the way to go. If people who are interested can get a message to me with their U.S.nail address I can make one tape, and send it to the first person to ask, and have him/her send it to the next person, and have the tape go in a circle, that way each person will only have to pay one mailing fee. I will reply to each request individually, so that you can be sure that your mail has gotten to me. If after a reasonable amount of time, you haven't heard from me, post your request to net.music and I will take down the info from there (include U.S.nail and UUCP address).
