Hallo, I heard about, that the sources for BSD are public-domain ?! If so, could someone tell me where to get it ? The ATT license is about $30,000; once you have that, you pay about $500 for the tape from Berkeley. Certain portions (such as the networking code) are available without a license, but most of the system is just a modified ATT Unix. Sorry, I don't know of any European sources although inria.inria.fr might be a good place to look. If you like I will mail you a recursive directory of the BSD sources at gatekeeper - you can decide for yourself what you want to get. Good luck!
