Greetings, The Sixteenth Annual Middletown Folk Festival takes place this coming Friday and Saturday, June 10th and 11th, at Bodman Park in Middletown, NJ. You can read about it in the Weekend section of Friday's New York Times. In addition to concerts on Friday and Saturday nights, there are all sorts of workshops and craft displays, plus a square dance on Saturday evening. Friday's concert features The Boarding Party, Martha Burns, Murray Callahan, Tom Gibney, Charles Hopper and John Mahoney, Andy Judkis (that's me), The Pine COners, Mary Faith Rhoads and John Pearse, The Serrations (with a musical saw player that's unbelievable), and Dan Smith. Saturday's concert features the Calvary Gospel Chorus, Purly Gates and David Levine, Adaya Henis, Charles Hopper and John Mahoney, the Mill Creek Cloggers, Mick Moloney and Eugene O'Donnell, the Navesink Valley String Dusters, Orrin Star and Gary Mehalick, Geaorge and Vaugh Ward, and WSAGNBSCALRME.
