[comp.unix.questions] getting info about a process knowing the pid

I am running SunOS 4.1 and want to know if there are
any system or library calls to get information about 
a seperate process from the one instigating the request.

For instance, I want to know who the user is that 
owns the process. I am aware of kvm_getproc but wonder 
if there another call to use to get the info desired.
