Hi, We just received a Datec 212 autodailing modem. The user interface is similar to that of the Vadic 3451PA. The Datec modem is both Bell 212 and Bell 103 compatible. It connects to the computer via an RS232 interface just like the Vadic and it interacts with the user or computer similar to the Vadic by sending and receiving ascii codes. If somebody has a driver for the 3451PA and the interfaces to uucp could you send me a copy of it? We would like to modify it to work with our Datec. What techniques have people used to utilize the some line for dialing in and out on.
