[comp.unix.questions] Looking for a Binary editor

acsiv@menudo.uh.edu (Duck aka D. Harper) (10/23/90)

Morn, world!
I had a binary editor on our last Unix(tm) box here, but when we moved
to an ULTRIX box, I lost the source. I was woundering if anyone knows
where I can get it again? I do not remeber the name, but it was a nice
full screen one, hex & ascii side-by-side. Or, any binary editor will
do. Thank you for your time.

Don

You may be thinking of bpe, which does what you say and allows
patching the file in either text or hex mode. An earlier version was
posted to sources.misc, I can mail to you if that's what you need, but
if everyone says "me too' I will have to post to alt.sources or put it
on simtel20.
