Hi - I've got 'smail3.1' running fine now. However - I'd like to get the 'Batched smtp' (with optional compression) going. ie - I have one expensive dialup uucp link which has a lot of small mail messages going up and down it. I want to spool these messages into a temp area - and then once an hour (just befor calling them at the 'Poll' time) - dress them up all together into one file, compress the whole lot - and then send them. But - I'm unsure what to do. I only have a three line 'smail' config file (to tell smail who the smart host is). What are other people doing - assuming that 'smail' is on both ends. What 'standards' are people adopting as the name for the program at the other end - eg 'rcbsmtp' (Remote Compressed Batched SMTP ???) ? -- . . ___. .__ Olivetti Systems & Networks, Unix Support - Africa /| /| / /__ UUCP: {uunet,olgb1,olnl1}!olsa99!mje (Mark Elkins) / |/ |ARK \_/ /__ LKINS mje@olsa99.UUCP (Postmaster) Tel: +27 11 339 9093
