I seldom want to read responses to responses to responses. I would like to kill everything 3 levels deep or deeper. I tried :!s/:^>>> and :!s/:^Re: in case the >>> are not actually part of the subject line. Neither worked. I don't think this is possible to do with nn since nn does its kill processing on the Subject and From fields and this sort of information cannot be determined from either of those (nn provides the ">" characters during article selection; they are not actually part of the message). You can, however, kill off all of the replies to a given article by including the ">" flag in your kill file entry. For example, ":!>s/:." will kill all articles in all groups that are replies to previous articles, leaving only the original posts. Followups directed to news.software.nn.
