A short while ago, I replied to an article titled "HELP ME PLEASE!!!", in which the person who posted it asked for general help about *nix. In my reply "This is not an RTFM message", I mentioned a new magazine, called "Guru", put out by the Valar Group. Due to the number of responses to my message, by people who wanted more information about Guru, I am posting the vital information here for anyone who might be interested: The Guru The Valar Group P.O. Box 3120 Warrenton, VA 22186 1-800-527-GURU (4878) I'm not sure if they're still doing this, but find out if you can get a sample issue. The very first issue (this is a new magazine) included some good information about vi, awk, and find, among other things. The primary focus of the current issue is uucp. Each topic covered is broken into four levels of complexity: Apprentice, Journeyman, Master, and Wizard. Of course, like so many newsletters and journals of this variety, it's not cheap ($96/yr); but, so far, it appears to be well worth it. -- Robert Barrell | With 5 bil. people on Earth, | rbarrell@rdb1.UUCP Milo's Meadow BBS | if someone calls you "one in | uunet!mcinix!rdb1!rbarrell login: bbs or nuucp | a million," there are still | "Pooh just IS" (904) 441-5028 | 4999 like you out there. | -- The Tao of Pooh
