If you have you know what a prob- lem it can be. A friend of mine is planning to set up a service bureau to do data entry for these types of applications. He is planning to purchase a Kurzweil KEM Ii data entry machine. This device will read any typed, typeset or printed material. The size of letters is restricted in range from 6 to 24 point. The machine can also be trained to read foreign alphabets including Greek. The accuracy of data entry of one error in 15000-20000 characters. For the Skep- tics among you I have run documents through a Kurzweil machine and they do come out very accurately. The rate per page is expected to range from $1 to $1.75 per page. The difference will depend on amount of material and its quality. For more information call Doug Crosby at (503) 246-4424 or (503) 245-3025.
