Just a simple question from a mere beginner: I have a friend at another university who I sometimes talk to over INTERNET. I usually check to see if he's on the computer system first by doing a "finger @his_host". I would like to check where he's logged on from, because if he's logged on from the console it usually means he doesn't want to be bothered, but if he's logged in via modem from their terminal server, he doesn't mind chatting. Is their some way I can ask his host for this information? Thanks in advance for any help!
