[comp.unix.questions] /etc/group error

wolf%grasp1.univ-lyon1.fr@cunyvm.cuny.edu (12/16/90)

I've just taken part to the management of an SVR3 Unix and I found
the /etc/group to be in the wrong format.

The users list, for each group is separated by a space instead of a
comma, as indicated in the doc. Can this be inherently dangerous, or is
it OK. We have lots of shell scripts for creating users that include
this mistake.

Do you think it's necessarily to correct, or can it continue to run that
way?
