Dear UNIX-Experts,
can some of you give me some hints on where I can get some
good - whatever good may be - documentation on:
- things around writing real and pseudo/STREAMS device drivers
I'm thinking of things like general strategies, callable
system routines - especially those not in the man-pages -,
eventcounters, locking mechanisms and principles and so
on. Out machine has got a /dev/tcp STREAMS pseudo device
using the transport layer interface TLI. Is this implementation
common and is there any PD source on it?
- how to use TLI
up to now I used trial and error but that consumes a lot of
time. How can I learn TLI more efficient? Are there RFCs on
this topic?
- is there an index for RFCs?
We are running UNIX V.3 on a Data General AViiON 300.
Thank you in advance
