Help! I've got a bunch of images from several sources, ranging from 8-bit color Sun rasterfiles and .GIF files to monochrome TIFF and .PCX files. I would like to be able to display these either on a Sun or a PC, preferably keeping only rasters on the sun and GIFs on the PC. I have an understanding of raster and GIF structures and can map between these two, but I'm at a loss with the TIFF and PCX images. Has anybody found a way to map these image formats? raster / | \ GIF --+-- TIFF \ | / PCX Can anybody refer me to PCX or TIFF descriptions? Please respond to me and I'll post results - Thanks in advance, dwhite -=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=- + Douglas White : My opinions do not reflect + + National Institute of Standards & Technology : NIST policies. + + Bldg. 225, Rm A216 : + + Gaithersburg, MD 20899 : "No matter where you go, + + dwhite@dsys.ncsl.nist.gov : you're going to find, you + + Voice: (301) 975-2182 : won't see me in front, but + + FAX: (301) 590-0932 : you can't leave me behind" + -=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-
