Here at NASA Lewis Research Center (Cleveland, OH) we have lots of different computer systems and lots of different users. But we do NOT have active users' groups which are attended by users. We do have various meetings which may be called coordinating meetings or user meetings ... but it seems as if most of these are attended by the same handful of people ... and the meetings tend to be dominated by a small vocal minority. The people who keep coming to the meetings are mostly from our computing service group, system analysts and maintainers ... not *users* who deal with the computers as tools. Do any of you out there have any ideas of how we can get out of this rut? How can we hold USER meetings and get *users* to come and participate? I welcome any comments by mail to: uudot@vega.lerc.nasa.gov Thanks in advance ... and Happy New Year.
