I'm having problems with my SCO xenix 2.3.1 running on a HP 386 AT clone. It comes with an imbedded AT type controller and we have a 180mb drive, but, the exact description of this disk is not on the HP BIOS... So we over rode the configuration manually, setting up the CMOS to reflect the true nature of the drive. We installed xenix on it and it seems to run ok for a little bit, but then problems arise. The file system gets corrupted, doing a ps command gives "seek error" message, etc., things just seem to degrade with time. I have a feeling the controller may not be correctly translating the xenix block io requests to the correct cylinder/head/sector values... I would appreciate any help anybody could give me on this... thanks in advance. Bing
