I want to be able to include a line in a user's ".mailrc" file that
tells mailx to continue loading parameters from another file. I
don't know if this is possible; it isn't documented if it is.
For example, .mailrc might look like:
set page askcc hold metoo
alias anygroup abc def ghi
load "/usr/lib/mailx/mailx.rc.2" # <- something like this???
I plan to put things in the "mailx.rc.2" file that pertain to a group
of users. They should all get to use this same file, but I don't want
to have to include all of the same information in each .mailrc file.
It would be easy enough to just link each of their .mailrc files, but
then they couldn't each have their individual settings.
So is this possible? I hope so, in one form or another. Thanks for
