[comp.unix.questions] Finding network interface from socket descriptor

Machine/OS: SUN3,SUN4  SUNOS 4.03, SUNOS 4.1.1

Given that I have a socket descriptor to a connected TCP
socket (different machines, ethernet), what is the easiest 
way to determine the network interface??


Any help is appreciated.
