Hello, Can someone explain the way that BSD distributions are structured, and what I need to get it running on a 386 (actually a lab of 12 386's) Which of 4.3, 4.3-tahoe, 4.3-reno, 386BSD, and 4.4 will do the job. What bits do I need ? 4.3 with the 386BSD distribution, (+AT&T licence ?) The University has 4.3 Licence for a recently de-commisioned Vax, and a AT&T licence covering several PDP and the Vax, many of which are now gone. Both licences date from 1985. What is a practical hardware configuration for a 386 based system (memory disk speed etc) Thanks a Lot, Mike -- | Michael Harlow | u855203@bruny.cc.utas.edu.au | | GPO Box 1201, | u855203@probitas.cs.utas.edu.au | | Hobart, 7001 | Computer Science Department, | | Tasmania, Australia | University of Tasmania. |
