Dear UNIX-Experts, perhaps it's a FAQ but anyway: how can I get informations on a process which is NOT a child of the process requesting the information: a) existence (ok, kill(pid,0) will do the job) b) parent pid c) user id d) perhaps command line Is there any standard way to do this (System V.4?). We are using a DG AViiON 300 with System V.3 compatibility and there I found a routine to do this but its name starts with 'dg_' so I think its only local to DG/UX.
