I once saw a short intro to TCP networking (sockets, etc. for BSD systems) that someone wrote (I think someone from MIT). I believe it was on uunet.uu.net as FTPable. Can someone send it to me or tell me where I can get it (I don't remember the name)? If you know, please send the info to "mlevin@jade.tufts.edu". The reason I want it is that the person who wrote it offered to help with problems. I have a problem with out-of-band data, and no one on comp.unix.programmer wanted to help me! so I thought I'd ask this person directly. However, if anyone else out there knows how to send in-band out-of-band data on a TCP socket (using ioctls, etc.) and would be willing to help me, please write me at mlevin@jade.tufts.edu. I have a short program fragment that almost works (except that it inserts an extra null byte in the middle of my out-of-band message) and I need someone who's used OOB data before. Thanks in advance.
