I have been reading up on performance monitoring tools such as sar and vmstat. I am now turning to the net to get more information than I can find in my documentation. Specifically, can someone explain the sar and vmstat algorithms regarding the size of interval? What information is lost as the interval size increases? sal savastano att!somerset!pisc7c!sfs
