We are running Unix System V 3.1 with Fortran XLA+ 1.0... 1. Executables that were from a previous Unix version and fortran compiler compile and execute on 3.1 without a problem. 2. Modifying the program and re-compiling is fine also. 3. During execution, any recompiled program in 3.1 will bomb with Bus error - core dumped and one other common error either Memory fault/Floating exception. Pinpointing the problem, it seems to occur during an open or a close statement. Most programs experience this error. Q: Is there something within unix that must be changed to rid us of this bus error problem? Rob -- !!Excuse me, can you point me to the nearest thunderstorm??
