[comp.sources.d] UNIX protection

news@seismo.UUCP (03/23/87)

Folks,
If you indeed have access to ANY UNIX source code
and are not keenly aware of the licensing restrictions
and the nature of trade secret protection, someone at
your site has screwed-up royally and your public
admission of same may well cause them serious grief.
If you have access to source, FIND OUT your responsiblities.
They are quite non-trivial.

There should be folks at your site
responsible for making sure you know,
but you can be liable for the disclosure, none
the less, not to mention the mess you could get your
organization into.
