I am leaving Mirror Systems, effective May 22. I have accepted a job
at BBN, and start there on May 26. I am leaving because Times-Mirror,
our parent corporation, has instituted a policy of a drug and alcohol
testing as part of its pre-employment physical. Please don't flame
Mirror; the policy is a T-M one, and most people here were opposed to it.
I will announce my new address, and the new comp.sources.unix addresses,
once I get established; mail to my old addresses at mirror.TMC.COM will
forward things for awhile.
Sorry for the recent outages in mod.sources/comp.sources.unix; dealing
with the policy, and then the job change, have taken up most of my time.
Until my position is filled, do not be surprised if there is a decline
in the quality of mail and news service provided here -- things will be
hectic for some time. The bulk of my duties are temporarily being
dispatched by Brian Moran, who can be reached as any of "root," "news,"
"usenet," or "postmaster."
