[comp.sources.d] Warp help requested

wex@milano.UUCP (11/25/87)

I've recently installed warp, and it works fine for me. However, when
other people try to play it, they are told they have to be logged on
as me. I installed it under my ID (wex). I don't want the game to be
setuid root - it's mounted on a Sun NFS partition on a fileserver so
everyone can access the files. What do I need to change in the
configuration so that everyone can run it?

setuid to another user besides root. like 'bin' or 'games'.
Or setgid (which I prefer).

Or if you don't have root access, setuid to your own uid.
(Shudder! I would NEVER make any net program setuid to my uid!)
