Dennis Allison at Stanford has the start of a FORTRAN-to-C translator. When we experimented with it, it didn't seem to work on our large CAD programs, although it worked fine for Allison on small programs. It is written in C rather than yacc and lex, and does not use struct as a preprocessor. At last contact, I believe both he and we gave up on it. We have instead used a 68000 FORTRAN compiler from Silicon Valley Software. I don't have Allison's net address, but any interested parties may contact him at Stanford. If anyone else has a FORTRAN-to-C translator, I'd be glad to hear about it. Ken Turkowski {ucbvax|decvax}!decwrl!turtlevax!ken
