[comp.sources.d] patch

jl42+@andrew.cmu.edu (Jay Mathew Libove) (06/10/88)

I have been running patch at level 9 on SCO Xenix SysV/286 2.2.1 for quite
some time, and with the recent level 10 and 11 patches for patch, I find
it broken...

patch now gets the error:

Not enough memory to try swapped hunk! Assuming unswapped.
Hunk #n failed at ##.

on almost anything that is fed to it.

Has anyone else out there gotten patch at level 10,11 to work
on SCO Xenix?

Thanks

i went and recompiled patch using -M2l (instead of -M3s) and it worked
just fine. i was able to un-patch the patches for patchlevel 10 just
fine with no errors.

i am running SCO Xenix 2.2.1 and the 2.2.1 developement system. try
using LARGE model.
