Has anyone out there fixed dd so that when doing raw disk transfers of whole file systems error condidtions are handled correctly? The noerror option continues the transfer but the destination "file ptr" is not updated correctly. As the up Unibus Disk driver does not completely handle bad blocks this utility is certainly an important one.
