[comp.sources.d] want MDQS source

pwolfe@kailand.KAI.COM (09/30/88)

I've written a batch job system for local users, and recently found out that
one called MDQS (Multiple Device Queuing System) was posted to mod.sources a
very long time ago. I can't find it in any of the archives that I have access
to. Where can I get a current version of the source code?

Can anyone who has experience with this software (and hopefully some other
batch system, like IBM's HASP or JES2 or DEC's VMS queues) please compare and
comment?

Also, does anyone know of a way I can restrict some commands (for example, the
fortran compiler) so that they can only be run via batch jobs?

Thanks!

Nope, MDQS was never published in mod.sources or comp.sources.unix

I remember that Doug Gwyn in unix-wizards had posted a bit about the
history of MDQS. I believe it's available from BRL; try a note
to gwyn@brl.arpa.
